Carol Lesnek-Cooper has been a resident of Livingston County for nearly 20 years. She holds a law degree from Wayne State University and a BA degree from Albion College. Carol worked in the federal courts and in private practice, but ultimately pursued corporate work; she spent 27 years in the litigation group of the General Motors Legal Staff. Upon retiring from GM in 2009, Carol began teaching elementary catechism at St. Joseph Parish in South Lyon, where she and her husband have been members since 1982. She has been a member of the parish religious education commission since 2011. She also serves on the St. Joseph Mercy Hospice and Homecare Professional Advisory Committee. Carol has been active with Livingston Promise since 2015.
Carol’s husband, Raymond Cooper, is a shareholder of Bredernitz, Wagner & Co., P.C., a certified public accounting firm in Howell with which he has been affiliated since 1976. Carol and Ray have one daughter, Christina Beaubien, who teaches preschool at St. Joseph School in Howell.
